SAGECare began as a grant-funded initiative through the National Resource Center on LGBTQ+ Aging to offer engaging in-person training sessions.
As demand grew among healthcare and elder care service providers, SAGECare expanded to include on-demand and virtual options.
In 2016, SAGECare officially launched as a social enterprise focused on person-centered care providers.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, SAGECare expanded from limited online content to delivering robust, interactive virtual training through its learning management system.
Today, SAGECare offers a comprehensive, multi-platform training menu that serves diverse sectors, including healthcare providers, financial planners, residential care, hospice, and funeral services.
Our mission is to foster affirming environments across all levels and types of care and empower culturally competent, trauma-informed services to LGBTQ+ older adults.
