Pam Bolton

MANAGING DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

Pam is a public health expert who has worked both in the U.S. and globally to expand the delivery of quality healthcare among underserved populations of all ages. From 2018-2023, Pam co-founded and built a social enterprise dedicated to democratizing lifelong learning for healthcare professionals. Previously, as VP of strategy and innovation at Concern Worldwide U.S., she led a $37M global initiative testing novel ways to improve health in marginalized communities. In her consulting practice, she conducted environmental, social and governance (ESG) assessments of U.S. healthcare practices and recently taught sustainability-themed workshops for Duke University Corporate Education. Earlier, Pam led advisory services at GBCHealth, a nonprofit membership coalition of businesses contributing to making a healthier world.

Karen Cushing

SAGECARE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Karen is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development, and event management. As the Business Development Manager at SAGECare, Karen has cultivated high-level relationships, driven marketing strategy initiatives, and diversified revenue streams. More than just a job, she is deeply passionate about creating a more inclusive and affirming world for older adults and is dedicated to helping SAGECare fulfill its mission. With a background that includes a role as the Sales and Marketing Director for Two Men and a Truck and owning a marketing and event company, Karen has built a solid reputation for exceeding revenue goals, achieving self-sustainability, and expanding training programs across various industries. Certified in Sales Strategy, Karen has also worked extensively in social media management, website design, and print design.

Sadiya Abjani

Director of Training and Instructional Design

Sadiya has 20 years of experience training educators, housing providers, and care providers in culturally competent services. She received her Bachelors in Islamic Studies and English from the University of Texas at Austin, where she spent time learning curriculum development and gaining expertise in training development and delivery. At SAGE, Sadiya has built 17 trainings and trained over 30,000 providers personally. Previously, Sadiya worked as the Corporate Training Coordinator at the Equal Rights Center, where she delivered trainings on Fair Housing, Disability Rights, and Sensitivity and Diversity. She has done extensive work within the elder community, including developing and executing a large project surveying the South Asian elder community to isolate signs of depression. Sadiya has just under 10 years of public speaking experience, and has presented in front of crowds as small as 3 people and as large as 4,000. Sadiya prides herself on delivering information in a fun and interactive way, and consistently receives high scores from participants in internal and external evaluations and feedback forms.

Chaela Carter

Customer Service Specialist

Chaela Carter (she,her) is the Client Services Specialist for SAGECare. Her responsibilities include connecting clients to our services and supporting the SAGECare team in their mission for accessibility and inclusivity.

Alex Kent

Data Specialist

Alex Kent, MPA (she,her) oversees SAGECare’s training data and helps to manage our on-demand training platform. Alex first joined SAGE in 2008 and has held a variety of roles over the years, including direct service and programming in New York City, program replication in Baltimore, and extensive work around LGBTQ+ caregiving with SAGE’s National Resource Center. She has been a Certified Trainer since the inception of SAGECare and has been thrilled to be a part of its growth and expansion.
